Small boats

In addition to R/V Atlantic Explorer, BIOS maintains and operates a fleet of small vessels that can support multiple research projects, education programs, and dive operations.  Currently, the following boats are housed at BIOS and available for day-trips to nearshore waters:

• 41' R/V Stommel, featuring an A-frame and winch for the deployment/recovery of research equipment and instruments;
• 36' Rumline, featuring a custom-built dive platform;
• 26' Sea Dance, an outboard vessel that serves as an excellent working platform;
• 26' Twin Vee, a twin engine v-hull with a specialized dive platform
