Education

Education is a key aspect of our mission, directly linking our scientific research to hands-on learning opportunities for students in Bermuda and those visiting from abroad. Our education programs have contributed to the academic achievement of generations of students and helped them to understand the complex workings of nature and the role of scientific research in society.

Bermuda students and teachers

We recognize the educational and personal development needs of local students and teachers and responds to these needs with a suite of progressive learning programs called Ocean Academy.

University students

Our courses and internships provide high quality mentorship and learning opportunities to university students from around the world as students engage directly with scientists at our world-class research institute.

Other visiting groups

Visiting groups from Bermuda and abroad can participate in field trips and lab sessions, specifically tailored to fit the needs and interests of each group.

ASU Bermuda scholarships

In recognition of our partnership, ASU offers two scholarships for any ASU undergraduate program to advance the educational opportunities for the citizens of Bermuda.
