Hayley graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 2023 with a BSc in Environmental Earth Science. She participated in the Bermuda Program at BIOS in 2022, working with Dr. Andrew Peters in the Air Quality Program and has since returned to working full-time at BIOS. Hayley has completed a greenhouse gas inventory compilation for Bermuda and is currently working on particulate matter analysis and reporting of data collected from low-cost sensors (Purple Air Sensors) across the island. Hayley also assists with the meteorological data collection at Tudor Hill Atmospheric Observatory.
Hayley was a fieldwork assistant during her time at St. Francis Xavier University in Freshwater Ecology field data collection. She also participated as a wildlife conservation and sustainability student in Costa Rica where she collected research using a range of terrestrial surveying and bioindicator techniques, studying principles of defamation, sustainable development, and community management. Hayley has previously been a summer intern with BAMZ, where she developed and organized animal enrichment activities for Green Sea Turtles, Octopi, and Harbour Seals.
