Deborah K. Steinberg, PhD

Deborah Steinberg is a Professor in The College of William and Mary's School of Marine Science, at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science where she conducts research in zooplankton ecology and teaches graduate courses.  She is Council member and Chair elect of the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS), member of the Ocean Carbon & Biogeochemistry Program Scientific Steering Committee,  and has chaired the scientific program committee for several major international oceanography meetings.  Dr. Steinberg has been associated with BIOS since 1990, and was a resident scientist and coordinator of the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study (BATS) at BIOS from 1995-2000.
