Jessica Bowers brings nearly a decade of experience in strategic communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement, government relations and event management to her role as Advancement Manager at ASU BIOS. In this role, she works to strengthen community partnerships, cultivate philanthropic support, and advance the institute's mission of ocean science research and education.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Humanities and has completed professional training in strategic management, change leadership, talent management and business writing. Prior to joining ASU BIOS, she served as Marketing and Communications Manager at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI), where she led the development of a comprehensive marketing strategy and significantly expanded the organization's digital presence and audience engagement.
Her previous experience also includes serving as Social Secretary at Government House, where she coordinated high-profile events and managed stakeholder relations, as well as supporting parliamentary operations and ceremonial events during her time in the Office of the Legislature.
Passionate about building meaningful connections and fostering collaboration, Jessica is dedicated to engaging supporters and partners in advancing ASU BIOS's mission to seek and share fundamental knowledge of the oceans through world-class scientific research, field expeditions, and educational experiences.
