Claire Fox

Claire’s first experiences at BIOS were through the Bermuda Program in the summers of 2010 and 2011. During her internships, she worked in the Phytoplankton Ecology Lab to assist with collecting samples aboard R/V Atlantic Explorer, and processing the samples in the lab. Afterward, she continued to remain involved with BIOS programs by volunteering at the annual MARINE robotics competition and assisting with teaching students. Claire joined BIOS in a full-time capacity in 2021 as the science education officer where she delivers programs for local students and visiting groups.

Before joining the team at BIOS, Claire was the assistant director at Waterstart, a local charity that promotes personal growth and environmental awareness for Bermuda’s youth. She received her master’s in marine environmental protection from Bangor University in 2013 and holds a BSc in environmental science from Queen’s University.
