Brian Duperreault served as Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2014.
Mr. Duperreault is Executive Chairman and a Director of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) after having served three years as President, CEO and Director. Prior to assuming his role at AIG in May 2017, he was Chairman and CEO of Hamilton Insurance Group, a Bermuda-based holding company of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance operations in Bermuda, the US and the UK. Mr. Duperreault was President and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Companies from 2008 to 2012 and previously served for two years as non-executive Chairman of ACE Limited; as CEO of ACE from 1994 through 2004; and in various senior executive positions with AIG and its affiliates from 1973 to 1994. Mr. Duperreault is credited by the Insurance Hall of Fame with helping to transform Bermuda from an island nation with a small reinsurance-focused market into a global insurance center.
Mr. Duperreault is Chairman of Attune, a data-enabled company established by Hamilton Insurance Group, AIG and Two Sigma; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Blue Marble Microinsurance. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the School of Risk Management of St. John’s University, New York. In addition to BIOS, Mr. Duperreault serves on the boards of the International Insurance Society, the Insurance Information Institute, Johnson Controls, and Saint Joseph’s University of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Duperreault holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. Joseph’s University.
